I am a third year PhD student at UNC Chapel Hill interested in PDE and Analysis, especially microlocal analysis.

You can email me at akbadea@unc.edu, or find me in my office on the third floor of Phillips Hall in room 300.

MATH 383: A First Course in Differential Equations

This semester I am teaching differential equations. Here is the course sylalbus. My office hours are Tuesday from 2:00-3:30 and on Friday from 12:30-2:00 in Phillips 300. Here is a version of the course lecture notes.

Fall 2025

This semester I am a TA for MATH 233 (Calculus III). I will be teaching recitations and along with other TAs grading your exams. I will not usually be holding office hours, this is something your course instructor does, but you can direct office hours-like questions to me during our weekly recitation.

I have collected in one file all of the problems I assigned in Calc III recitations last year. I am likely to reuse some but not all of these questions this year. (Update: I didn't reuse any)

If you are interested in the history of this subject, I recommend the nice book A History of Vector Analysis by Michael J. Crowe.

I am also a TA for MATH 653 (Graduate Analysis). Here my role is essentially just to be a grader. If you have questions or issues the easiest thing to do is to find me in person. You can also email.
